Things to do in the area
Mid Wales Golf Breaks at Pwllgwilym
Golf is a great way to exercise and socialise with friends new and old but in Mid Wales it’s also a way to take in the stunning countryside surrounded by the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Cambrian Mountains, wildlife and Flora and Fauna ! 18 hole Builth Wells Golf Club, just 2 miles from Pwllgwilym presents a fair challenge to golfers of all levels. It is attractively laid out in splendid surroundings and is a comfortable walk. The variety in the holes means that players at the end of their round will find that they have used most of the clubs in their bag at some time but still room in the tank to sample some local ales in the club house thereafter.
Our Golf Breaks include comfortable 4 star B & B, a choice of three local golf courses (Llandrindod Wells & Cradoc are also nearby) with transport in our luxury mini bus if required. And because we have cottages on site too we can cater for small and large parties (up to 12 people).
We have a special introductory rate for first time bookings this spring;
1 night mid-week break in our 4 star B&B and two rounds of golf at just £69.95pp* or a 2 night mid-week break in our B&B with 2 rounds of golf at just £99.95pp*
* Minimum booking of 2 people

Llewellyn’s Wildlife Walk
This is a working farm not a nature reserve, it is rich with wildlife and what you see and what you hear will depend on the seasons. In the spring the area is full of singing birds as the migrants return from the south. A good summer is great for spotting butterflies. In all seans the steam will be worth a visit.
Our wildlife walk around the farm first takes you down the short path to the pond, suitable for wheel chairs. It then continues with a either the short walk that will take approx. 30 minutes or an extended walk which will take about 15 minutes longer.
Country Cottage with Hot tub
Enjoy a peaceful country cottage with full use of large hot tub in the rear garden. An all year round luxury after a long day of exploring Mid-Wales, Powys. Maybe a weekend of pampering is just what you need? Treatment packages can be arranged on request when booking with us. Group bookings welcome.
Welsh Overland Safari
Welsh Overland Safari is an independent guide tour company offering unique overland guided tours of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt landscapes in Europe, as well as rare natural habitats for wildlife. One of Wales’s best kept secrets, the region has a rich and diverse history dating back to well before Roman times. Exploring the rugged mountains, lakes, waterfalls and forests of the area.
With over 20 years’ experience, the founder Richard Davies started Welsh Overland Safari because they wanted to share their passion for the area and share his knowledge with like-minded adventurers.
We’ve designed our guide tours to be enjoyed be all, with itineraries designed to get you off the beaten track at a slower pace whilst including all the “must see highlights”. Smaller groups allow for more flexibility, spontaneity and time to explore. Our published itineraries represent the minimum of what can be achieved on our guided tours and there is always some surprises along the way too.
And it’s not just our guided tours that make us different. When you join Welsh Overland Safari you’ll be traveling with one of our experienced and passionate guides namely ourselves.
